A lot of times, I get people asking me "you only do criminal work, right?"
The answer is no.
VanHo Law also does a good deal of civil work, and has returned some excellent verdicts for our clients.
The work week is only a day old, and before noon, we already achieved two excellent results for our clients.
In the first case, a client of our firm's had been sued by her prior attorney for attorney's fees. The client, who was a family member of another satisfied VanHo Law client, was extremely dissatisfied with the attorney's work, and even questioned large portions of the bill. On the week before Christmas, the matter proceeded to a bench trial.
On Monday morning, we learned that the trial Magistrate agreed with our position. The Court found that the prior attorney had failed to prove the case -- agreeing with our position on several points, all of which were fatal to the Plaintiff's position.
The decision ended up saving our client thousands of dollars -- and also meant that she did not have to pay for services that she was not satisfied with.
In the second case, our client had sued a car dealership for breach of contract.
The trial had begun, but was continued due to the court's schedule. On the first day, Attorney VanHo cross-examined the dealership's owner, who admitted to several of the Plaintiff's key arguments.
On the second day of trial, the dealer walked in with a certified check for the purchase amount of the car.
The client walked out of the courthouse with the check.
While people often associated Attorney Adam VanHo with criminal cases, our firm has had tremendous luck with civil and family law cases as well. We have achieved millions of dollars in verdicts for our clients. We have also successfully defended clients in civil matters, including cases that avoided litigation through aggressive up-front work on the case.
