July 1st represents the halfway point in the year.
It also gives us an opportunity to look backwards at our accomplishments, and look forward to our goals.
In the first six months of this year, we have been able to obtain outright dismissals for several of our clients, including one client who faced a potential sentence of eighteen years for a crime for which he maintained his innocence. In another case, a father was able to see his children after we were able get domestic violence charges against him dismissed before Grand Jury.
In yet another complicated case, by combining our knowledge of the family and criminal courts systems, we were able to convince prosecutors to dismiss domestic violence charges in the week before an expected jury trial. We were then able to convince the accuser and her attorney to dismiss the Civil Protection Order against our client.
We have also been able to help many criminal and DUI/OVI clients resolve their cases -- often with far-better results than other similarly suited defendants represented by other law offices. These cases have ranged from low-level misdemeanors to high-level felonies -- and have spanned large cities and small towns from the shores of Lake Erie to the banks of the Ohio River.
We have had a number of successes in family courts, including helping a client defeat a Civil Protection Order in Domestic Relations Court, win visitation rights in Juvenile Court and then walked the client through the issues facing a Civil Protection Order in another state.
We have helped reunify parents with children on a number of cases, and helped a number of families go through the difficult process of divorce.
We have also helped our clients start up and run their businesses. As we discussed in an earlier post, we are excited to expand our small business and entrepreneur law practices expand, We are still working on OhioEntrepreneurLaw.com and are excited to continue expanding our work with small businesses.
We are also excited to expand our office as well. Earlier this year, we welcomes Ildi Szucs into the VanHo Law family. She has been quickly getting up to speed and been helping our criminal and civil clients achieve their needs.
While we are unsure of where the rest of the year will take us, we are excited to continue to obtain excellent results for our current (and future) clients!
If we can be of assistance to you, your family or your business, please do not hesitate to contact VanHo Law at 330-653-8511 or reach out to us here.
