Once again, VanHo Law was able to put Attorney Adam VanHo's experience to work for one of our clients.
In State v. E.S., we were able to help a Stow man get hit skip charges against him dismissed. In the case, following an accident, the client who panicked after an accident for which he was not at fault. The driver returned to his house, contacted a suburban police department, and then returned to the scene.
Despite the mistake at the beginning in leaving the scene, the client ultimately did the right thing and returned to the scene. Despite this, the police department charged him with Hit Skip, which carried a potential driver's license suspension.
After negotiations with the prosecutor and laying out the facts, we were able to secure a full dismissal of the charges.
